Architect Håvard B. Olsen/Vårdal Architects. The home is situated in the outskirts of Oslo.The style: Norwegian owners with penchant for Nordic contemporary interior design. They wished to add warmth to the ascetic architecture style, and did so by choosing deep colours, greens, blues, browns and blacks, combined with heavy fabrics, like lined curtains and velvet sofas. The biggest part of the building budget is spent on the structural work. The cost of interior is kept down by a notorious bargain hunting online and by shopping directly from building expos. They found their main bathroom furniture exhibited in such a place. The owners have a great eye for details and attention to mixers and the overall expression of the house is one of understated luxury.
